"Hours" means the actual clock hours spent working on approved curriculum for the subject. The range of time is due to differences in skills and abilities of individual students. Do not assume you are a genius and will break this mold. In most cases you should expect to spend an amount of time that falls between the two extremes. In any event, it takes longer to redo poor quality work than it does to do it right the first time. You will be required to improve and redo work based on feedback in order to meet a minimum standard of competence.
