Step 1: Understanding What To Do

First, read my general guidelines and procedures to know how to function in this room. Then read my expectations so you will know what we should expect from each other. You should also read the grading policy. After you read the above, proceed to read the tutorials that teach you how to use this site with your classes (click the question mark to open these presentations).

Step 2: Preparing

After you have done all that and completed the activities at the end of each one, and once you have created an account, you should go to the relevant class page(s) to view the syllabus and contract for that class. You can find these by clicking on the subtopics of the main menu along the top of the site (for example, Drug Education under Health, or Industrialization under US History).

Step 3: Getting started

Use the resources on the syllabus, on this site and elsewhere to begin or resume your progress toward completing each contract. Maintain a blog which will become a portfolio that will demonstrate your progress. I will comment on your blog periodically and I will expect you to follow up on my comments to improve.

Step 4: Communication

Use the forms to communicate your progress: Exit slip, assignment evaluations, make up, etc.
