1. The Roaring 20s: A Reunion
   It has been almost eight decades since the1920s, commonly referred to as the 'Roaring 20s,' and it is time for a reunion!  The emails have been sent out to those most influential to the decade.  Langston Hughes, Duke Ellington, and Babe Ruth are all excited to come, see some old friends, and have a grand old time.  The Great Bambino is coming!  I wonder who else is going to be there???

The rise of film, radio, the beginnings of television, and the ready acceptance of telephone and electricity set the stage for many great things to come. The Great War is over and so relax and explore the 1920s. Your task for this Web Quest will be to become reporters of this time and report the news as it happened.  How would you describe such an exciting period in our history to others?Welcome to the exciting adventure of the 1920s! You and your group members will have the opportunity to explore America as it was in the 1920s. Was it truly the "Roaring Twenties"? or do you feel a better description could be the "Boring Twenties"?The 1920's in America was a period of opulence and excess that led to the inevitable consequences of the 1930's and the Great Depression. How were such romantic excesses of the Jazz Age reported at the time? How were they viewed in such delightful duplicity, and how do we today explain the Great Depression to which the Jazz Age led?
